Netflix has released the official trailer for "Freud," the new German-language mystery thriller series about Freud , a young Austrian psychoanalyst with unorthodox theories and methods, who teams up with a psychic medium and a police investigator to unravel a series of strange disappearances and grisly murders in late 19th-century Vienna.

Austrian horror filmmaker Marvin Kren co-wrote, executive produced and directed this Netflix original series, which stars Robert Finster because the young Freud with Ella Rumpf and Georg Friedrich.

Marvin Kren has previously directed and co-written the cult Austrian horror films "Blood Glacier" and "Rammbock." He had also worked on the German crime series "4 Blocks."

synopsis:

In 1886 Vienna, the revolutionary theories of young Freud (Robert Finster) face heavy opposition -- and gain the interest of famous psychic medium Fleur Salome (Ella Rumpf) and Alfred Kiss (Georg Friedrich), war veteran and policeman . With them at his side, Freud soon finds himself within the midst of a murderous conspiracy that kept Austria edgy .
